Originals~Just a Touch of Jazz

Newest release from the duo: “Everybody”

“Everybody” an original song written and performed by Susan LaVelle & Matt Dorland.

“Everybody” begins with where it is at today. “Nobody” listens to each other; they only hear what they want to hear. “Anybody” can do better. “Somebody” needs you.

I want this song to be heard by “Everybody.”

“Weekend Days”

Original song written and performed by Susan LaVelle, vocals Matt Dorland, piano

A lovely piano and vocals song written a few summers ago… While waiting in a woodsy yard while a friend was trying to fix my car, I just had to write lyrics for what I saw and felt on that breezy and relaxing summer day. Pretty funny that we used the idea of weekends as a symbol for a relaxing time, since both Matt & I were usually very busy working on weekends! But in these lyrics, weekends represent that time and space we all long for, where we can break out of our exhaustion and routines to experience rest, peace, joy.
